There is an ecological tragedy unfolding before our eyes with the plight of the tiny musk deer. For centuries; this shy animal in the high forests of the Himalayas has been the source of musk for European perfumes. Now this beautiful animal is being hunted to death in the name of traditional Chinese medicine.

I am starting a Charity – The Aroma Foundation – (TAF) – which has as one of its principal aims – the introduction of musk deer ranching in the forests near the Sherpa village of Phortse.
